On the bottom right of your browser screen is a screen reader bar. Simply highlight the text you want read to you, press play and it will read it back to you. We recommend doing this 100 words at a time to avoid any buffering issues.
We used Google Maps for the maps to highlight where accessible facilities and services are located in the county. Below the Hotel and Café maps you will find a detailed text description of the accessible facilities and services available in each Hotel and Café highlighted on the map.

THE SEED PROJECT
The SEED Project developed by the Sligo Disability Network in collaboration with Sligo LEADER Partnership Company is one of fourteen projects nationally supported by the Disability Activation Project (DACT).
DACT is co-funded by the European Union under the European Social Fund, and the Irish Government through the Department of Social Protection and Pobal. It supports people aged 18 to 65 years in receipt of disability/illness welfare payments to establish their own career plan and become job ready.
The SEED Project is a person-centred, confidence-building training programme which enable participants establish their own career plans with an overall focus on increasing their capacity and potential to participate in the labour market. The aim of the project is to develop the skills of individuals so that they become job/entrepreneurial ready and be in a position to access mainstream employment supports, further and higher education and training and direct employment.
Participants on the programme identified gaps in mainstream services and barriers that prohibit them access to these services. In developing the app ‘Access Sligo’ the SEED Project aims to address some of these gaps and complement the SEED goals by outlining disability user friendly services and facilities available in County Sligo. We hope the Access Sligo app will encourage the greater participation of people with disabilities in everyday activities.
